With time Chrome has emerged significantly, from a simple Windows-only platform to multiplatform support and from simple purpose application to an integrated browser with advanced browsing features.As it turns out, Chrome can do a lot more than browsing.

Bookmark All Your Tabs at Once

If you’ve got many tabs open and want to save them all, chrome gives the ability to bookmark them all at once.

  • Press Ctrl+Shift+D for a PC  or Command+Shift+D for a Mac to save them all.

Pin Tabs Instead of Bookmark

For sites you visit all the time, you know….like this one, right-click the tab and select “Pin Tab” in the menu to make it a permanent fixture on the left side of your browser.

Re-Open Accidentally Closed Tabs

Sometimes in hurry, you could close the very important tab, you have to go through a tiresome process of finding that specific link but luckily chrome offers a quick way.

  • Press CTRL+SHIFT+T or right-click on any tab and select “Reopen Closed Tab“.

Re-Open Multiple Tabs

  • Press CTRL+SHIFT+T multiple times.

Close All Tabs At Once

If you got many tabs open and you want to close them all, right-click on the current tab and select “close other tabs

Mute Noisy Tabs in Google Chrome

Sometimes you open a tab and it starts playing sound or video automatically.This puts an audio icon on the top of each tab, allowing you to mute them if they’re playing in the background, even if you’re not on that page.

  • Paste “chrome://flags/#enable-tab-audio-muting” in address bar.
  • Click Enable on highlighted Option.

If you have got a million tabs open and you are required to close your PC  instantly, you should try this feature.With this feature, you can continue your work same as it is next time where you left off.

To Enable Continue where you left off:

  1. Type “chrome://settings/” in address bar or open settings from upper-right corner.
  2. Scroll to end & click “Manage on startup Pages“.
  3. Click and Select “Continue where you left off“.

Enable or disable Extensions in Google Chrome

More extensions can cause lagging issues. you can remove unwanted extensions and plugins that you’ve picked up over the months and years of using it.

To disable Extensions

  • Type chrome://extensions into the address bar.
  • Either Uncheck to disable the extension or Click on the trash can icon to delete it.

Enable Experimental Canvas Features

This modification allows Chrome to utilize opaque canvases to increase loading times and boost performance. Search for Enable Experimental Canvas and click Enable in the Experimental Canvas row.

  • Paste chrome://flags/#enable-experimental-canvas-features in address bar or Omnibox.
  • Click Enable.

Enable Fast Tab/Window Close

If you can’t close a window or tab fast enough, try enabling the Fast Tab flag. This will get content out of your face faster than ever by running Chrome’s javascript handler independent of the graphical user interface (GUI).

To Enable Fast Tab in Google Chrome

  • Type chrome://flags/#enable-fast-unload in Address bar/ OmniBox.
  • Click Enable

Note: In order for these changes to take place, you’ll need to restart Chrome.

Clear Cache

Another way to boost performance in Chrome browser is to clear the cache. If you are running Chrome for a long time, the cache will be stacked with your browsing history and unnecessary files.removing these not only frees up a lot of disk space, but it will also make your browser more efficient.

To Clear Cache of Google Chrome

  • Type chrome://settings/clearBrowserData into the address bar.
  • Choose only Cached images and files option or, you can clear everything.
