WhatsApp Multiple Devices; One whatsapp account on multiple devices
WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature that would allow users to install and use the service on multiple platforms simultaneously.
According to WhatsApp tipster WABetaInfo, the messaging service is developing a multi-platform system that would work on iOS and Android and includes WhatsApp for Windows (UWP).
It’s no longer a rumor, it’s confirmed.
You will be able to use your WhatsApp account on a lot of devices! ✅It includes WhatsApp for Windows (UWP, when available), so you can use WhatsApp on your PC if your phone has no connection.
iPhone/Android and iPadOS included 😊 https://t.co/PgNZTnOxlj— WABetaInfo (@WABetaInfo) July 29, 2019
WhatsApp Web at the moment only supports a chat interface and it does not include the voice or video call feature. However, with the introduction of a new multi-platform feature, the Web portal will offer much more feature. Not much is known about this new interface the messaging giant is working on, so we are not sure what it will look like, but the functionalities will definitely be better.
The new feature will support multiple platforms including Windows, Android, and iOS. It is also unknown that this feature will support macOS or not. Also, it’s unclear if WhatsApp with the addition of this feature will keep its Web portal or replace it. This means that users can install the app on multiple platforms and use the service at the same time without getting booted from the main account – very similar to the way you use services like Facebook or Twitter.
WABetaInfo also claims that users will be able to use WhatsApp on iPad when the app makes its way to the public soon.
It also states that the new feature will possibly bring stronger “end-to-end encryption because probably something needs to be changed, seen that the messages must be sent to more devices”.
Conclusion:
Some very useful features are already available in the beta versions of WhatsApp and should be making their way to the stable channel pretty soon. Meanwhile, we’ll keep an eye out for future updates and new features added by WhatsApp and keep you posted, so check back often Techelucid for more updates.
